Who I Am
I am Michelle Roy, PA-C, a board-certified Physician Assistant with nearly 30 years of clinical experience.
I grew up in Massachusetts and earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston College. I completed my Physician Assistant education at Wake Forest University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I graduated in the top of my class.
Over these nearly three decades, I have developed deep clinical expertise in GLP-1 therapy, insulin resistance, metabolic health, and hormone optimization for both women and men.
These years of experience have given me a strong scientific foundation, but it was my early career in family practice in Boston that shaped how I care for people today. Family medicine taught me that the best care is never one-size-fits-all. It begins with listening, understanding the full picture, staying present as a patient’s needs change and building relationships with my clients.
At Rex Edge Health, I bring this relationship-based medical care to women and men across Arizona through personalized support for weight loss, metabolic health, and hormone optimization. I moved to Arizona in 2000, have called the Phoenix metro area home ever since, and am proud to serve patients across the state.
Why I Started Rex Edge Health
Over the years, I watched too many people receive a prescription for weight loss medication without the support needed to succeed. They were left without thoughtful follow-up, individualized dose management, or a trusted clinician to call when they had questions or hit a plateau.
I created Rex Edge Health to be different - Rex Edge Health is a provider-led practice built around real relationships with my clients and lasting outcomes. I do not believe health care should feel transactional. I believe people deserve a clinician who understands their history, listens to their goals, and remains engaged as their body responds.
Helping people become their healthiest and most confident selves—inside and out—is what makes this work meaningful to me. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone regain energy, confidence, and trust in their own ability to reach a health goal.
